Four Legs Good is 8ac of soy free, pastured pigs on the Trefusis estate, Flushing.
Happy, totally outdoor, traditional breed pigs graze pastures rotationally amongst a recently planted leaf fodder and fruit trees.
Supplementary feed is Soy free and in summer reduced to a minimum while forage is abundant.
The pigs are mob grazed: the spend 4 days in each paddock and are then moved to the next. They don’t return to the same paddock for 60 days. This allows the pasture to recover quickly and ensures maximum nutrition for the pigs as well as huge benefits for soil biology, biodiversity and carbon sequestration.
Their pork is full of properly complex flavour and colour; completly different from supermarket pork.
