Producing sustainable food for the community has been at the heart of Loveland's vision since its founding in November 2021. The market garden has developed in alignment with this ethos; comprising a 1-acre plot with two polytunnels, it is now able to grow year-round!

The project offers an opportunity for people to engage with growing food and learn about sustainable growing methods. The market garden design is inspired by permaculture design methods to grow in harmony with nature. We recognise our responsibility to care for the land and the wider community, which is why the site will become certified organic in spring 2026. We also practice minimal till and apply agroforestry systems that prioritise soil health! Through crop rotation, companion planting and the use of diverse green manures, we work to restore soil biology. Separate from the community beds, these plots produce food on a not-for-profit basis to support Loveland. Whilst being coordinated by Finn & Rachel, the project maintains the Loveland ethos by being community-led and requiring community involvement.

You can currently find our produce in our online grocery and the Loveland roadside stall, which is restocked throughout the week during summer. We also provide our produce for our own events, the FFC Kitchen and businesses in the local area.

If you’d like us to supply your business, email Finn & Rachel (lovelandproduce@falmouthfood.coop)

If you'd like to get involved with the market garden, come and join a volunteer session (every Wednesday 10-3pm). Everyone is welcome.
